Transforming Lives Through Community Action

The Feeding Hope Project continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable mothers and children across Sierra Leone. Through the generosity of our donors, contributions from our partners, and the tireless efforts of our volunteers and community health workers, we have been able to sustain and expand this life-saving initiative.

The videos below showcase various aspects of our ongoing work, including community nutrition training sessions, beneficiary testimonies, field assessments, follow-up visits to severe acute malnutrition cases, and collaborative efforts with healthcare professionals working at the grassroots level.

Community Nutrition Training and Awareness

Our community outreach activities bring together mothers, caregivers, healthcare workers, and local leaders to learn practical methods of preparing nutrient-rich local foods for malnourished children. Through these training sessions, families gain the knowledge and confidence needed to improve child nutrition using affordable and locally available ingredients.

Follow-Up Visits to Critical Cases

Representatives from our partnering organizations regularly conduct follow-up visits to children identified as suffering from severe acute malnutrition. These visits help monitor recovery progress, provide additional support to caregivers, and ensure that vulnerable children receive continued attention. Detailed reports from these visits are submitted to Right to Development (RD), Inc. to guide future interventions and resource allocation.

Reaching New Communities

Our field teams travel extensively to rural communities and underserved areas throughout the provinces to identify new cases requiring urgent intervention. Through data collection and community engagement, we are able to assess nutritional needs, prioritize critical cases, and prepare for future community training programs and feeding interventions.

Partnership with Community Health Workers

The success of the Feeding Hope Project is made possible through close collaboration with Community Health Nurses, Community Health Officers, Community Health Aides, and dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to educate families about nutrition, child health, hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices.
